Los Angeles Climate Week is just around the corner, lighting up the city from September 8th to 15th. Recently announced and now gaining serious momentum, the event tracker has revealed an array of sessions that promise to bring together innovators, policymakers, and activists for a week of conversations and action.

We’ve heard this every year at NY Climate Week and SF Climate Week, so we've put together a list of our favorite events per themes to help you make the most of the season!
Channeling capital to Climate tech
💰 Climate Capital Panel & Networking (Project: Bloom kick-off) - Wednesday, Sept 11, 6-9pm, in Santa Monica
Hear from a diverse panel of climate capital stack experts, and meet the climate capital community. Hosted by Collidescope Foundation - organizers of LA Climate Week, a non-profit organization with a primary commitment to empowering social impact organizations and their leaders.
🧠 Cleantech Open Los Angeles - AI Meetup - Thursday, Sept 12, 5:30-7:30pm, at Loyola Marymount University
Learn the latest about how AI is being applied to and developed for the cleantech and climate sector. The event includes an expert panel discussing on the impact that AI can have on the climate crisis - its benefits and drawbacks, our Cleantech Open Alumni Startups showcasing actual, real-world applications of AI in the climate sector, and networking among investors, mentors, and professionals already in or looking to enter the cleantech sector in SoCal.

Fostering Climate Justice
🌳 Remembering the Connection: Tree Movement for Climate Justice - Monday, Sept 9, 5-7pm, in Altadena
The Sierra Club Angeles Chapter partners with Lindsey Red-tail to offer a workshop highlighting the necessity of connection to earth as a vital catalyzing and strengthening tool towards climate action. An outdoor gathering with the community, Lindsey Red-tail, a non-binary and Indigenous Dance Artist, Ceremonialist and Facilitator in Nature, invites us to remember our deep connection to the Land, Pachamama. Like the Trees we will practice sending our roots down underneath us, re-connecting our feet to the soil so that the root systems can guide us. Participants will access deep listening in the body, curiosity and play!
📽️ Healing Lahaina: Film Preview & Panel - Thursday, Sept 12, 7-9pm, in Culver City
Director Laurel Tamayo’s family lost their multigenerational home in the 2023 Lahaina wildfire, the deadliest wildfire in modern US history. Through personal recounts, this documentary paints an intimate portrait of survival, climate change and colonization, and community resilience. This event will include a sneak peek at the upcoming documentary, Healing Lahaina, as well as a panel on community resilience and storytelling.
Realizing the Energy Transition
🏠 Electric Dreams: Transforming Homes for a Greener Tomorrow - Sunday, Sept 8, 10am-12:30pm, at Ernest E. Debs Regional Park
Again, the Sierra Club Angeles Chapter is hosting an event to bring awareness to the poor air quality crisis in our region. Wondering what is building electrification? How does it affect and benefit me? What is currently being done to address the transition from gas-fired appliances to zero-emission? What can I do to take action and be a part of the solution? Have climate-anxiety? Glad you asked! These are just some of the questions we will be addressing during our event.
⚡ The Clean Energy Expo - Saturday, Sept 14, 10am-3pm, in the Arts District
The Clean Energy Expo will bring together businesses, government entities, and NGOs to support Los Angeles' electrification goals and promote the clean energy transition. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about the latest advancements in clean energy technologies, including electric vehicles, solar power, and energy-efficient home appliances.

Learn how to position yourself successfully in the climate tech job market with the applied marketing framework, familiarize yourself with valuable resources to support your career transition, and canvas the climate job opportunities available. In the follow-on session, learn how to use the power of the climate simulator En-ROADS to drive impactful change in your climate-focused career and experiment with available climate solutions and develop a mental model of their impacts on nature and society.
