LA Climate Tech: Sept 5 - Sept 11
Celebrate bicycles at a film screening, join a Women in Green breakfast, stop at a vegan playground - and more!
Hi all,
I hope you had a lovely Labor Day weekend!
Here is how I enjoyed mine 🌝. On Friday, I attended the soulful event: Exploring the Mycoverse 2nd Year Anniversary Potluck - I highly recommend checking out the next gatherings. On Saturday a friend gifted me a sourdough starter - my first sourdough bread will be in the oven tomorrow! On Sunday I enjoyed a stroll at the farmer’s market - I love meeting the people who grow the food I eat. And on Monday, I guided a tour of the sustainable stores in Highland Park - find the list below. This coming week is as exciting, here are our picks:
Are you a bicycle enthusiast? You would like to learn about the bicycle's unique power to change lives and help build a better world? On Wednesday, watch 🎬 The Engine Inside at the Aero Theatre and attend a panel discussion with sustainability and mobility experts: free bike valet (!) + bring your reusable water bottle!
Join USGBC-LA on Thursday for the Women in Green Committee's Annual Breakfast for an engaging panel, breakfast spread, community conversation, and networking. 🙋♀️
On Friday, attend the event hosted by Vegan Playground LA West Adams 🥕 for a fun-filled night of plant-based food, craft beer, and good vibes at Party Beer Co.
As always, scroll down for the full list of upcoming events.
Cheers,
Maëlys and Alec
