Greentech Festival Connect
This week, the Greentech Festival will be held for the first time in Los Angeles! Since the first edition in 2019, this gathering grew tremendously and became Europe's largest sustainability festival. It showcases and celebrates ideas and innovation from all sectors - food, mobility, energy and infrastructure, with an emphasis on unlocking net zero strategies. Learn more and attend the GTF Connect in LA on September 27th and 28th.
ecothèque by Solarpunks
ecothèque is a series of solar-powered gatherings charged by a creative community microgrid. Solarpunks bring artists, civic leaders, technologists, climate activists and more together in a collective effort to ditch fossil fuels & inspire regenerative practices. I went to the last edition and I loved everything about it! RSVP to stay in the loop and for a chance to win gifts.

The California Land Recycling Conference (CALRC) is an event focused on the beneficial reuse of underutilized and contaminated properties. It provides tools, training, and connections for revitalization. The conference will have themes of People, Partnerships, Progress and will feature bonus events including a funding fair, a photo gallery, a karaoke sing-along, and a post-conference discussion on the reuse of former oil fields.
📚 2022 California Energy Code Single Family Building Inspection

This highly interactive live course is designed to provide building inspectors with the knowledge and skills they need to fulfill their roles associated with California’s 2022 Single-family Energy Code. It focuses on high-value energy savings and impact on Energy Code compliance for residential projects. Presentations and hands-on activities illustrate review strategies based on project type. This event offers ICC CEUs and takes place on two separate dates.

The Little Secret Climate Fest is a powerful activation bringing together climate activists, organizations, and storytellers for unity, awareness, and action in the fight for climate justice. 🧬 eDNA Community Science Event
When: Sat, Sep 30th from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM
Where: Westward Beach in Malibu
Interested in meeting volunteers and participating in cutting-edge science? We are excited to reintroduce a fun and social Heal the Bay event that will reoccur monthly in the Malibu MPA transects! Heal the Bay is partnering with UCLA again to collect sea water samples in Malibu for an eDNA scientific testing program with PhD candidate, Moriah Byrd. All marine life leaves traces of DNA in their environment. eDNA water testing analyzes the quantification of biodiversity in a standardized way within a marine ecosystem, making it an incredible tool to monitor Marine Protected Areas.
