Climate Storytelling, Sustainable Mocktails, Renewable Energy, Looking at Leaves, and more!
Hi friends,
Even though the fall weather hasn’t fully settled in for SoCal yet, we hope that you can get out and enjoy some harvest festivals in the next week or two and maybe even venture out to search for some fall colors. Noticing seasonal changes is important for both our environment and personal lives, and we encourage you to reflect on these changes and your feelings about them in the coming week. 🍂
And here are our top event picks for the week:
On Tuesday, inspire climate action through immersive narratives at the 📚 2024 Delta Murphy Lecture at USC.
On Wednesday, enjoy connecting with community while sipping some sustainable non-alc drinks at 🍹 The Carbonauts Sustainability Mocktails.
On Thursday, check out the ⚡ Sustain SoCal 15th Annual Energy Event to engage with the local renewable energy ecosystem and learn about new technologies and trends.
On Saturday, let your creativity flow with 🍂 Nature Journaling: Looking at Leaves where you can learn, sketch, and journal about endemic oak species!

By actively participating, we foster a deeper understanding and commitment to support the communities affected by water appropriation, ensuring their struggles and stories are heard and respected. These walks also aim to explore Los Angeles' path to water independence, the impacts on the Paiute and Tongva peoples, and how we can collectively build a resilient LA and support communities everywhere.
