Governments, organizations and individuals are becoming increasingly aware that educational systems must evolve to address climate, pollution and biodiversity crises. In parallel, there is a growing recognition that our connection to nature needs to be restored, in the face of rapid urbanization and environmental degradation. Nature-based Education is an inclusive ecosystem of approaches that brings nature into the core of play, learning and resilience.
This summit will gather educators, designers, policymakers and change makers to showcase research and inspiring cases to strengthen the connection between kids and nature, improve academic achievement, support physical and mental health for people of all ages, enhance climate resiliency in communities, and lead to care for the Earth. Perspectives from the Global North and Global South will be included.
