Join Cleantech Open (CTO) as we share the information about this year's upcoming 2025 Accelerator Program! It's our 20th year running! At CTO we are the world's oldest and largest Clean Technology Startup Accelerator. We've had ~2,000 early stage startups successfully graduate our program since 2005. This time of year, we're looking for ambitious and innovative entrepreneurs that are trying to solve some of the world's greatest problems who are looking to grow their business to the next level using our proven curriculum. In this first live session, we'll go deep with two founders on identifying, applying to, and receiving deployments grants to help them de-risk debt capital. Future sessions will cover other in-depth topics like equipment financing and project finance (stay tuned).

Explore NHM’s iconic 100-year-old diorama halls after-hours with Elephant in the Room, a bold new discussion series that tackles thought-provoking, and sometimes controversial topics in the museum world and elsewhere. This year’s theme pulls back the curtain on the artistry, science, and controversies surrounding the museum’s beloved installations, providing a platform for dialogue and discovery. The inaugural series complements NHM’s latest exhibition, Reframing Dioramas: The Art of Preserving Wilderness, offering a fresh perspective on these iconic and historic displays.
🐦 Healing with Nature: The Bird & The Birder

Where: Rosemont Preserve, La Crescenta
For many of us in Los Angeles, losing our homes, communal spaces, parks, trees, and all places and habitats we found refuge in has left us feeling uprooted and distressed. It is natural to feel deep grief, unease, and anxiety in the aftermath of this crisis. One way to move through and with these feelings is to practice inward reflection and to ground ourselves in our relationships with one another, the land, and the plants and animals we share it with. Join us for our Healing with Nature Event Series, where AFC’s Program Coordinator Kyle Cavazos, along with guest docents, will guide us through mindfulness exercises and practices that cultivate connections.
💙 Sunset On The LA River (World Water Day)

This World Water Day, join us for a special twilight gathering of ecological performances on the concrete banks of our dear friend Paayme Paxaayt (LA River). Lauren Bon of Metabolic Studio will lead a collective offering of reparation to the river, Sharon Chohi Kim will share voice with water-based instruments, and Nina Sarnelle will premiere their new music / video project Mouth Noise at nightfall.
🏞️ Envisioning Public Access at the Southern Los Cerritos Wetlands
When: Saturday, March 22 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm
Where: State Lands Parcel at 1st St and Pacific Coast Hwy, Seal Beach
Join this in-person Public Meeting for the Southern Los Cerritos Wetlands Restoration Project to discuss the future of this land and to provide input.
❤️🩹 River Habitat Restoration Day
When: Saturday, March 22 from 8:00 am to 11:00 am
Where: Sepulveda Basin Wildlife Reserve, 6100 Woodley Ave Los Angeles, CA 91604 United States
With the help of the California Native Plant Society, volunteers will remove invasive mustard and learn about its impact on the ecosystem and why its removal is vital to restoring California’s native habitat. Afterward, join San Fernando Valley Audubon Society as they lead nature-filled walks around the Nature Reserve, binoculars provided!
